Venice ZTL

Venice Council controls the access of tourist buses to its area by setting up the BUS Limited Traffic Zone (BUS ZTL) so that the traffic can be better organised towards Venice and the historic centre, and so that the heavy traffic flow does not disturb the everyday life of the inhabitants.
The tourist buses that want to enter the BUS ZTL must obtain a “special pass” issued by ASM S.p.A., the company that Venice Council has appointed to manage the service.

Public Transport packages valid to obtain the Rate "Ordinary TP"

Buses going to Venice historical centre that wish to have the special rate (Ordinary TP) - included in the resolution n° 80/2007 - must forward the following local public trasport packages (issued by Vela/ACTV) at the ZTL check-points.

Concessional "Hotels" rate application methods

The new concessional "Hotels" rate application methods, as established by Circular n° 0381667 / 2007 from the Venice City Council's Public Transport Office, has taken effect as of 1st December 2007.
